The Supply Chain Intern will support day-to-day supply chain operations, logistics, and inventory management at Jaza Energy Tanzania. Reporting to the Supply Chain Lead, this 3 to 6-month internship offers a recent graduate hands-on experience in warehouse operations, stock reconciliation, procurement tracking, and data analysis within a fast-growing renewable energy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory & Warehouse Support: Monitor stock movements and accuracy across hubs; support stock reconciliations, physical counts, and transaction verifications to resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Data Management & Reporting: Maintain supply chain trackers, validate operational records, and generate routine reports to identify efficiency trends and improvement areas.
  • Procurement & Supplier Coordination: Track purchase orders, liaise with suppliers regarding delivery timelines and documentation, and maintain organized procurement records.
  • Logistics & Operations: Track inbound and outbound shipments, coordinate deliveries between suppliers and central warehouses, and assist with transport documentation and import clearances.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline operations, enhance data accuracy, and optimize daily supply chain processes.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); ability to quickly learn new ERP and inventory management systems.
  • Key Competencies: Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, high attention to detail, strong team-collaboration skills, and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
